Joan Batykefer  Armour, 88 of Hershey formerly of Speers Hill, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice  Residence.  She was born  January 22, 1928 in Bentleyville the daughter of  the late Martin A. and Alice Hixon  Batykefer.  Joan had retired from a nursing career, working at Mon Valley Hospital.  She attended the Washing School of Nursing, In Washington, Pa.  Sher was a member of First Christian Church,  Eastern Star and  Charleroi Nursing Association.  Surviving by  two daughters Debra Marks of Hummelstown, Pa. and Joyce Matz and husband  Floyd of W. Va.  Daughter-in-law Nancy Armour of Mich.  Seven grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents Joan is preceded in death by her husband James A. Armour, a son James Martin Armour, four Brothers Stephen ,  James , Regis and Robert Buchanan.   Friends will be received Friday, April 29, 2016 from  10:00 am  to 12:00 am in the First Christian Church , 61 Walnut Ridge Road, Charleroi, Pa were funeral services will be held at 12:00 .  Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery.
